I have been coveting the Nespresso coffee machines for years now and when I got the chance to try it out, I jumped. What really caught my eye with the Nespresso Lattissima One was the fact that it uses fresh milk. Now for those that know me well would know that I’m not a huge coffee connoisseur- however, my husband is and was more then happy to taste as I tested the various coffee flavor pods.
The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful sleek model. I loved the cream and matte silver tones of the machine, a perfect match for any modern kitchen. To boot, it’s pretty light to carry and assembly took only a minute or two. The machine has three main parts to its compact design- the water tank (easily removed), the main body of the machine and the detachable milk container.
After a quick clean, my first barista experience was a dream. All that was required was filling the milk level (which has two indicators depending on the amount of froth), inserting the coffee pod and pressing either the cappuccino, lungo or espresso options at the top. In under a minute, your coffee is ready. The great thing about the machine is that it comes with 16 sample pod flavors for you to try out the range.
The husband reported that his coffee was flavorful, the correct temperature (he prefers a coffee which isn’t scorching hot) and the amount of froth was equivalent to coffee he has had in cafes. The fact that the amount of froth can be controlled was also a bonus. I was also surprised by how quiet the machine was- the only sound you will hear is when the milk nozzle is being cleaned. Lastly, all the parts are machine washable.
For this price point, barista quality coffee mad in such a short time along with a modern and compact design, I highly recommend the Nespresso Lattissima One machine.
